Pair of Middle Eastern Wooden and Metal Doors, first quarter 20th century, the painted and paneled doors set with metal panels depicting pairs of birds on branches, h. 69", w. 40".


  • Condition: In overall good, somewhat distressed condition, with normal shrinkage, wear and abrasions. Splices and small nicks and chips throughout. The back/interior side is not as finished and exhibits some residual foam insulation stuck to it. It is easily removed. There is a slightly loose molding on one door at the edge of a panel, and a shrinkage gap just above. There are shallow splinter losses to the outer edge of the perimeter molding, the most notable being ones about 3" and 4" long on the bottom of one door, and of about the same size on a side of the other door.
