Pair of Napoleon III Bronze Dore et Patine and Marble Five-Light Candelabra, third quarter 19th century, in the Empire taste, now mounted as lamps, on Siena marble bases decorated with gilt-bronze wreaths, the bronze candelabra on tapered and reeded column-form standards terminating in Corinthian capitals and holding arms set with candle cups and drip pans, h. 38-1/4", dia. 14".


  • Condition: Gilt generally in good condition, with minor rubbing. Several arms somewhat loose and lowered. One with a tight hairline, approximately 1", to base. A missing wreath on plinth, a repaired chip to corner of plinth and a flake to the top of the plinth. Roughness to the edges of the plinth. The other with a replaced wreath mount, a tight hairline crack to one side of the plinth and rough edges to the corners of plinth. Each with scattered drilled electrification holes to bronze elements.
