Pair of Napoleon III Gilt-Bronze and Marble Urns
third quarter 19th century, French, on red griotte marble plinths decorated with lotus-molded bronze trim, the urns with reeded bodies and pierced leaf-molded handles with floriform medallions, resting on acanthus-molded bases, stamped "B&D" on the underside of the interior bases.

Condition: **In overall good condition. On one urn, the left-facing corner on one marble base corner has been repaired and overpainted with a matching rouge pigment. Minute losses are scattered throughout marble pedestals and bases, and bronze urns exhibit some light accretions and oxidation to gold patination.
