Pair of Restauration .950 Silver Salt Stands


  • Condition: Overall Condition: Very Good. No condition issues noted beyond some light wear consistent with age and use. No dents, breaks or repairs noted. Two small test notches cut on the underside of one, at the center of the lower plinth edges. Marked (on the edge of both the base and standard of each) with 1) the Paris "Vieillard" first standard silver mark in use 1819-1838; 2) the Paris large guarantee mark in use 1819-1838; 3) the French provincial (Rouen) "crab" minimum standard mark in use from 1838. No maker's mark as noted in the catalogue description. Scattered frits and chips along the fan edges of the glass liners, with the top of one fan broken off on one liner. Liners are probably later replacements.
