hallmarked London, 1826-1827, of flattened spherical form, with reeded band and gadrooned above and below, with a shallow collar and flat-hinged lid and carved finial gadrooned en suite, with a crested wooden handle and "gooseneck" spout, engraved with a crest "out of a ducal crown, a demi-swan".

  • Condition: **In overall good condition, with no dents, breaks or repairs to the silver noted, and no condition issues beyond some light nicks, scuffs and scrapes commensurate with age. Some shrinkage cracks in the finial. The wooden handle is a later replacement, sturdy and sound with a replacement pin on the lower end. Hallmarked (on the underside) with: 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the London leopard's head; 3) the date letter "l" for 1826-1827; 4) the George IV bust duty mark; and 5) the "PS" maker's mark of Paul Storr. Marks excellent. The underside of the lid part-marked.
