Provincial Louis XV Walnut Commode

18th century and later, the serpentine top over a case fitted with two elaborately carved drawers, above a scrolling foliate-carved and pierced apron, the sides with cartouche and shell carving, raised on cabriole legs ending in scroll feet.
h. 37", w. 51", d. 24"

  • Provenance: The Estate of The Honorable Lloyd & Beryl Ann Bentsen.
  • Condition: **In good condition. There is minor shrinkage to the top along the seam. Minor light stains. There are old professional repairs to some of the corner edges of the drawers. The brasses appear to be original. The surface has been stripped and retains an old refinish with a very pleasing patina. It does not appear that it has been bleached.
