Provincial Regence Fruitwood Commode
late 18th century, the banded, rounded rectangular top above a bombe case fitted with three long drawers, all with three shaped panels, the sides also paneled, raised on scrolled toes.

Condition: **Tight, solid and sturdy.
Normal mars, abrasions, shrinkage, wear and indications of age and use.
The finish on the top is very thin, and absent in large sections.
Two drawer locks are present, and the bottom one is missing. The drawer pulls appear to be later replacements.
There is some minor scattered insect damage including some that is visible on the lower drawer face. No indications of active infestation were observed.
