Queen Anne Walnut and Burl Games Table

18th century, the hinged top with turreted corners, opening to a baize-lined interior with recessed spaces for gaming pieces, above a conforming frieze, raised on tapering circular legs ending in pad feet, the rear legs pull out with an accordion concertina action.
h. 29", w. 32-1/2", d. 15-1/4"

  • Condition: **In good polished and restored condition.

The top exhibits some tight veneer tears, most filled, over shrinkage in the underlying boards.

The interior baize lining is replaced, and now somewhat worn.

The concertina mechanism for the rear legs functions properly and supports the extended top.

All legs are firmly affixed at their joints with the piece.
