R. Lalique "Ceylan" Opalescent Glass Vase, ca. 1924, French, the tapered vase decorated with pairs of parakeets against a ground of intertwined branches, with an engraved mark "R. Lalique, France, 7778", h. 9-1/2", dia. 5-1/4". Provenance: Personal collection of Daniel Tenenbaum, San Francisco, California and Houston, Texas.


  • Condition: There are no visible losses or repairs. A few small mold scratches and scuffs are present on vase, base, and one breast and three lower tails of the birds. The flat top rim and underside of the base with typical scattered shallow scratches and minor wear consistent with age. Minor manufacturing inclusions (as to be expected) include air bubbles and mold marks. In overall very good condition. Detail shot #3 exhibits a series of INTERIOR mold scratches.
