Rare English Regency Tea Caddy

first quarter 19th century, the exterior with a rosewood crossbanded frame set with reverse-painted glass panels on all five sides, the obverse and reverse with birds, trees and a beetle, and lions with scrollwork on the sides, the willow-inspired cover with small panels on the edges decorated with Asian characters on a blue ground, the cover opening to reveal a spectacular satinwood interior, the rear of the cover button tufted with carved 19th-century mother-of-pearl buttons.
