Rare French Restauration Patinated Bronze and Glass Perfume Fountain

second quarter 19th century, in a bronze dore et patine case fitted with a cut glass well, the fountain set with a clockwork mechanism, based on a wall fountain with a dolphin spigot, flanked by griffins and set with a spiral-turned glass tube supported by a shell-form basin.

  • Condition: **The top of the clock has two small borings at the top of the dome that suggests there may have been more ornamentation at one time. The corner edges of the glass well have small flakes. The surface exhibiting a warm, old patina. There is a winding key present. We are uncertain as to its working condition.
