a kettle-on-stand, h. 13-1/2", l. 11-1/4";
a covered sugar bowl, h. 6", w. 6-1/2";
a cream jug, h. 6", l. 5-1/2";
a waste bowl, h. 3-1/4", dia. 4-3/4"; and
a tray, 2-1/4" x 19-1/4";
of lobed ovoid form with reeded serpentine banding, domed lids with toupie finials and crested C-scroll handles, the oval tray lobed and banded en suite and raised on four feet.

  • Provenance: Descended in the family of Rafael C. and Ethel Regan Goyeneche, Sr., Mexico City, Mexico; Havana, Cuba; and New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • Condition: **In overall good condition, with some minor wear. The teapot has a 1/2" dent on the shoulder and a shallow 1" dent on the body; no other significant dents noted, though there are some scattered dings and pinpoints throughout. No breaks or repairs noted; no monograms or removals. Each piece marked on the underside with the "[three owls] / Sanborns / Mexico / Sterling" trademark. A large and hefty set.
