Six-Piece Collection of Copper Cookware, second half 19th century, English and French, including five saucepans, h. 4-1/2" to 7-1/4", dia. 8-3/4" to 12-1/4", and a saute pan, h. 3-1/2", dia. 9-3/4", three pieces with dovetailed construction. Provenance: Personal collection of D. Didier, New Orleans, Louisiana.


  • Condition: There are scattered scratches, nicks and dents (mostly to the rims and bases), and light rust to the interiors of two pots. There is some wear/rubbing to the copper exterior that exposes the tin coating, and abrasions to the copper exterior of one pot, likely caused by steel wool. The largest pot is marked "J.H. & M.C./New York". Structurally sound. Condition is consistent with age and cookware.
