1

Group of Three Continental Hand-Painted Tile Compositions, 19th century, two with still lifes in the Delft style, each 22-5/8" x 17-1/4", and one of a bird in a cage, 18-1/4" x 13-1/2". Framed.

  • Condition: On the plaque with the bird cage, there are small losses (chips) to the lower right and left corner tiles, as well as to the upper left one. On the same plaque, there is a horizontal hairline crack to the upper right tile that spans the tile width. The upper left tile has some light pre-firing imperfections (soiling and glaze smudge). As for the two blue plaques, there is light crazing throughout and some very small scattered losses to tile edges. In all three plaques, the tiles are not uniformly flat in their frames as some tiles protrude slightly farther out than others.
