third quarter 19th century, probably Samson, one figure with a lion representing Africa, one with a camel representing Asia, and one with a horse representing Europe, unmarked.

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. The African figure with scattered tiny losses to fruit in cornucopia, flowers in hair, and ground. Touch-up to gilt sprigs on gown. Asian figure has one ear on the camel reattached and a missing foot on the fruit scroll. The left forearm and hand have been restored; minor loss to turban. Europe has restoration to proper right hand, losses to points on crown, restoration to left front leg of horse and minor loss to rear yellow sash.
