Two Similar Carved Ming Dynasty Longquan Celadon Vases, 15th century, now mounted as lamps, with green-painted Chinese-style bases, the vases with swirling flowers, one lower portion fluted and the other with painted leaves, fitted with ecru silk shades, vase, h. 22-1/2", overall, h. 35", w. 7", d. 7". Provenance: Merryl Israel Aron, New Orleans, Louisiana.


  • Condition: Both vessels' rims with various degrees of major repair - one concentrated in a 4" area, with another colored-in 1/2" chip. The other vessel with over one-third of the rim showing major repairs. The bodies with no visible cracks to the exterior. Both are drilled and mounted as lamps.
