Two Georgian Sterling Silver Cream Jugs, second half 18th century, London, including a baluster-form example hallmarked 1773-1774, with repousse laurel swag decoration and later presentation monograms dated 1812 and 1887, h. 4-1/4", l. 4-1/4", and a helmet-form example hallmarked 1798-1799, with pricked, bright-cut and wrigglework decoration, no monograms, h. 5-1/4", l. 4", the maker's mark on both rubbed, 5.85 total t. oz.


  • Condition: The "baluster" example in good condition with no issues noted. The "helmet" example has some short vertical tears to the rim on each side of the handle, with two more on each side farther out. The foot has a slight wobble. Small bend in the handle. Nice decoration. Each piece fully hallmarked, the maker's marks rubbed as noted.
