Two Large Pieces of Japanese Imari fourth quarter 19th century, consisting of an unusual fluted and richly decorated jardiniere with gilt tracery, h. 14", dia. 14-1/2", and a punch bowl decorated with alternating panels of peonies and ho-ho birds, h. 7", dia. 11".


  • Condition: Some light rubbing to the gilt and enamels throughout on both pieces typical of age and display. Scattered firing anomalies on both and some irregularities on the center interior of the fluted jardiniere. No breaks, cracks or evidence of repair.
