Two Meissen Porcelain Figures of Putti

German, both with underglaze blue crossed swords, one putto depicted as a blacksmith forging a heart, ca. 1860, with incised "R261." and impressed "50_", h. 8-1/4", w. 3-1/2", and the other with a bull, post-1924, with incised "L114." and impressed "91", h. 5-3/4", w. 6".


  • Condition: **BLACKSMITH: Restoration around the shoulder, upper arm and underarm of the raised arm. The hammer head matte with minor rubbing to edges. The lower arm with restoration extending into the top of the hand. Restoration to lower portion of the tongs and a portion of the anvil with a tiny surface loss at the outer tip. All restorations professional.
    PUTTO WITH BULL: In generally good condition with no apparent restoration.
