Unusual Continental Bookcase, 19th century and later, the molded cornice above open shelving with two tiers of leather book bindings below, the lower section fitted with two cupboard doors faced with leather drawer fronts, raised on a plinth base, h. 110", w. 66", d. 16-3/4".

  • Condition: Tight and solid and in ready-to-use condition. The distressed surface exhibits some peeling paint, wear and blemishes creating the appearance of patina. The upper section and lower section are separate pieces. There is a loss to the bottom corner of one leather "book binding" and a tear in one of the lower faux drawers. Scattered staining, blemishes and wear to the leather elements. NOTE: This is made up of some old elements, and probably did not originally exist in its present form.
