Unusual Copper and Bronze Hall Lantern

first quarter 20th century, Continental, the tapered bronze-framed body set with three scrolled candle arms behind the glazed sides, set with a copper dome trimmed with pierced bronze anthemia, the corona decorated with pierced bronze turrets.

  • Condition: Two of the panes are plexiglass/acrylic replacements. The door has been repaired with an adhesive at edge of plexiglass and re-gilded. Copper dome has a few light dings and dents. Pierced bronze anthemion crown has a "touch-up" soldered repair at seam. Copper and bronze elements exhibit some light scratches accretions and oxidation-all of which is to be expected with age and use. Structurally sound and in overall good condition. Lantern is not electrified.
