third quarter 19th century, the bowed top with projecting corners, above a conforming case fitted with two glazed doors, opening to a shelved interior, flanked to either side by a fluted, beaded and foliate-carved upright, further flanked by a paneled cupboard door centered by an inlaid scrolling foliate design, raised on a plinth base.

  • Condition: **In very good polished and restored condition. Normal shrinkage and wear, small areas of minor filler and veneer repairs, minor scuffs and abrasions consistent with age and use.

    The case is tight and solid. All doors open and close freely.

    The top exhibits what appears to be a large veneer patch at its center, well executed, utilizing exceptionally well-figured veneer. There are some minor tight shrinkage veneer tears around the perimeter edges, the largest about three inches and two inches long.

    Minor scuffs, and nicks to the plinth base. On each rearmost edge of the returns there are some veneer losses.
