Vienna-Style Hand-Painted Creamware Plaque

ca. 1900, decorated with a nymph depicted floating in the clouds and feeding a peach to a putto, flanked by putti blowing a shell horn and playing a tambourine, signed "W. Lopf", in a modern giltwood frame.

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. In raking light (at an angle) some surface scratches to the pigment are visible. Plaque exhibits light surface soiling. Plaque not examined out of the frame. Reverse with beehive mark in blue. Underglaze probably Ackermann & Fritze.
