William IV Brass and Spelter Argand Chandelier

second quarter 19th century, the lower portion molded with lotus leaves, the arms with scroll-molded mounts set with an urn-form oil tank decorated with classical masques, the rope-twist rod-form chains inset with medallion-molded metal decoration, with frosted shades cut with grapes.

  • Condition: **Two of the rod-form chains have been resoldered. There is a dent to the urn, and a few dings to the arms and standard. Metal elements have some minor rubbing and oxidation. One shade holder is slightly bent. The shades are replacements and not of the period. Chandelier is electrified and in working order. In overall good condition.
