second quarter 19th century, in two parts, the oval looking glass on dolphin-carved supports, resting on a recessed band of drawers, the lower section with a pair of drawers on a cheval base, on lyre- and foliate-carved supports joined by a turned stretcher, raised on paw feet.

  • Condition: **In good polished and restored condition. The pieces exhibit normal shrinkage, wear and indications of age and use, including some past veneer repairs, most notably to one of the drawers on the upper bank.

    Antique mirror plate with minor imperfections in the silvering.

    There is a loss to the lower molding at the base of the bank of drawers on which the mirror frame rests. The splinter is to the rear corner, about 2-1/2" long and 1/2" deep, coming to a point.

    Drawer lock present; no key.

    There is a veneer chip to the vertical front edge of the top on the upper section, about 5-7/8" x 1". There is a veneer loss to the rail below the lower drawer, about 1" x 3/4".
