American Classical Mahogany Work Table

ca. 1825, attributed to Anthony Quervelle (1789-1856), the cross-banded lift-top fitted with a looking glass, the segmented interior over a pair of drawers, the upper drawer with an adjustable writing surface, on a trestle base with paired dolphin-carved supports and turned stretchers.

  • Condition: **In very good polished and restored condition.

    There is a veneer tear from shrinkage in the center of the top, between the rosewood crossbanding.

    The interior of the lift-top section is now painted red and fitted with a central pin cushion.

    Locks are all present as is a functioning key.

    Sturdy and stable.
