American Aesthetic Movement Ebonized Cabinet-Based Etagere in the Japonesque Taste fourth quarter 19th century, the upper section with a pagoda top over a pair of beveled mirrors flanked by shelves on foo dog-carved brackets, the base with a beveled glazed door, flanked by curved shelves, h. 80", w. 49-1/4", d. 18".


  • Condition: Tight and solid. The surface appears to have been over-coated at some point in the past, with subsequent inpainting at areas of abrasion and loss. There are a few spots of lifted veneer on the base section, the largest about 1" by 3/4". The tip of one finial has been replaced. The finial is the rear finial flanking the top mirror.
