Biedermeier Fruitwood Cabinet, mid-19th century, the stepped and molded cornice above a case fitted with a single door, with a glazed upper section with an overlaid wood lyre and fabric backing, flanked to either side by an engaged ebonized pilaster, raised on block feet, h. 66-1/2", w. 34", d. 16-1/2".


  • Condition: Curtain easily removable. The cabinet is fitted to hold four shelves in addition to bottom, but no shelves are in it. The piece is structurally sound with a French polish finish. Areas of finish have lifted in spots around the right side of the door and there is some rubbing to the foot molding. There is some shrinkage "waving" to panel at the base of the door. Glazing in excellent condition.
