Chinese Dingyao Porcelain Bowl, probably Song Dynasty (960-1279), the exterior decorated with a molded petal motif, the interior incised with a depiction of two swimming fish, h. 2-1/4", dia. 5-1/4". A bowl with like characteristics sold at Christie's, London, on November 7, 2012.


  • Condition: In good condition. A few firing anomalies including a 1/2" kiln crack on the underside of the bowl and a small 1/8" bubble on the outside edge. Some scattered reddish residue on the bowl, and light abrading on the foot associated with age, material and use. No visible repairs or evidence of restoration.
