English Signed Messenger Bronze and Glass Sinumbra Lamp

second quarter 19th century, the standard depicting Amphictyonis, Greek goddess of wine, on a base decorated with molded brackets and lotus leaves, set with a frosted and cut shade, the cast iron weight in the base signed "Published as the Act Directs Messenger & Sons, Birmingham, London".

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. The tank and burner appear to be original. There are prism holes along the outer edge of the tank ring. No sign of damage. The surface has been lacquered. The shade appears to be old with no chips and cracks. Not electrified.
