French Silver Sugar Box

fourth quarter 19th century, by Leon Champenois, Paris, first standard (.950) silver, the oval body decorated with openwork rococo scrolls centering a cartouche on each side, with bifurcated handles, the fittled lid opening to reveal a conforming cobalt glass liner, monogrammed (on the cartouches) "TC".
12.14 total t. oz. (excluding glass liner).


  • Condition: In good condition with no breaks, losses or repairs noted. Slight compression dent around the finial. One foot slightly bent causing a negligible "wobble". No breaks, cracks or chips on the glass.
