George III Mahogany Bookcase, early 19th century, the molded and dentillated cornice above two astragal-glazed doors, now with pleated fabric lining, the lower section fitted with two paneled cupboard doors, the whole raised on a plinth base, h. 93", w. 39-1/2", d. 11".


  • Condition: There are old cracks and imperfections to the front deck from use. The upper case has a joinery line at its mid-point on each side, indicating that the ends may have been re-veneered at one point. There is some shrinkage to the lower door panels. All of the glass is intact. The entire cabinet has a heavy gloss finish. There is a key present.
