George IV Sterling Silver Mug

hallmarked London, 1825-1826, by Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I, the bulbous body decorated with chased and repousse panels of scrolling grapevines centering a cartouche, with molded rim and foot-ring and scrolling serpent handle.

  • Condition: **In very good condition with no issues noted. Traces of gilt on the interior. No monograms or removals. Hallmarked (on the rim) with: 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the London leopard's head; 3) the date letter "k" for 1825-1826; 4) the George IV bust duty mark; and 5) the "RE/EB" maker's mark of Emes & Barnard; marks excellent.
