late 19th century, of hexagonal form with pinched foliate-form rim, the sides tapering slightly to a six-sided splayed pedestal foot, the exterior painted with panels depicting blossoming peonies and birds, the rim with floral and stylized reserves on a neat cell-diaper ground.

  • Condition: **There is a repair to one hexagonal panel with visible traces of adhesive residue. Two small chips to interior rim of pot. Wear to gilded edges and borders. Inside of pot exhibits innate firing fissures and light soiling and staining which is to be expected with age and use.
