Marble Grand Tour Souvenir Column
second half 19th century, Italian, on a black marble base, the Siena marble column inscribed with decoration after the Roman original, celebrating Trajan's victory in the Dacian Wars, a metal figure on top.

Condition: **There are some small scattered losses to the edges of the capital, pedestal and base. The ink on the incised column is faded. A corner on the pedestal has been repaired, and the pedestal base exhibits faint traces of adhesive residue, suggestive of past restoration. Condition issues are as to be expected with age and use, and none are overtly visible.
