Pair of American Rococo Revival Laminated Rosewood Armchairs in the "Henry Clay" Pattern

third quarter 19th century, attributed to J. H. Belter, New York, each with a laminated concave back with a fruit-, floral- and leaf-carved crest, open arms, serpentine front seat rail and cabriole legs, upholstered in tufted brocade.

  • Condition: **In very good re-upholstered and restored condition.

    Tight with no movement exhibited in the arms or legs.

    A few normal minor chips and flakes to the edges of carved surfaces. No notable losses observed.

    Upholstery is in very good condition. There is one small, light soiled spot on one seat cushion that is barely discernible and may clean out.
