Pair of American Rococo Revival Laminated Rosewood Side Chairs, Attributed to J. H. Belter, New York

third quarter 19th century, in the "Henry Clay" pattern, each with a thinly laminated concave back with a deeply carved leaf-and-fruit crest centered by a rose, with serpentine seat and cabriole legs, now upholstered in tufted floral brocade.

  • Condition: **In very good polished and restored condition, with customary minor chips and flakes to the edges of carved surfaces, and no upholstery tack holes in the back.

    Tight, sturdy and solid.

    Upholstery in very good, approaching excellent, condition.
