Pair of Dutch Delft Covered Ginger Jars

ca. 1900, in the 17th-century style, with hand-painted flowers, scrollwork and diapering, the octagonal baluster-form jars set with foo dog knops, an unidentified mark on the base.

  • Condition: **One jar has a 3/4" x 1/2" repair (glued chip) to rim. On the inside of the other jar (bottom), there is a large spiderweb-form crazing/firing crack that has opened up into a hairline crack. Both lids have fine crazing to glaze. Both jars exhibit some scattered nicks and chips to their cover rims, rims and foot rims. Condition is as to be expected with age, material and use.
