Pair of English Ironstone Vases in the Imari Palette
third quarter 19th century, with inverted pear-form bodies with scroll-molded handles and molded gilt-trimmed leaves, the painted decoration in the Japanese style, the molded bases with matching decoration and ribbon-bound reeding.

Condition: **Both vases exhibit some minor rubbing and wear to gilded edges on handles. No visible losses, cracks or repairs. In overall very good condition. The bases have been drilled for lighting apparatuses. Underside of base rims have light adhesive residue, probably from having previously been affixed to felt pad bases.
