Pair of Majolica Urns
fourth quarter 19th century, in the manner of Thomas Victor Sergent, French, decorated with a panel of two hand-painted putti on the obverse, and molded flowers and birds on the reverse, on a cobalt ground, with ram's-head handles.

Condition: **One urn has a chip to its floral/bird reserve and a 1/2" x 1/4" chip to its cobalt ground beneath the putti reserve on the other side that has been overpainted with a matching blue pigment. There is also a"flea bite" chip to the tip of one ram handle horn. The second urn has a chip to one base edge and a few minute losses to two other base corner edges. In otherwise good condition with no significant losses or repairs.
