Pair of Torcheres Depicting Characters from Ivanhoe

second quarter 20th century, English, the baronial-style brass-plated torcheres depicting Ivanhoe and de Bois-Guilbert, standing on round bases decorated with strapwork, dressed in suits of armor and carrying "spears" set with molded lamp sockets.
h. 45-1/2", w. 13", d. 10-1/2"


  • Condition: **In "as found" condition. They are antique gold-plated on spelter. One has an old crack to the leg just above the right ankle. The other has some pitting to the back side of the cast wire mesh armor. There is an old tight shrinkage crack to the left side of the neck on one. Some corrosion to the metal on the backs of both. They are both wired for electricity.
