Pair of William IV Silverplate Entree Dishes

second quarter 19th century, each with lid, dish and warming stand, with gadrooned banding and robust acanthus handles and feet, the lid engraved with the badge of the 2nd Somerset Militia.

  • Condition: **An attractive pair in good used condition with no loss to the silvering. One lid has some minor dents on one corner, and both have some (salt corrosion?) spots on the underside of the lid. Scattered bumps and wear to the relief of the lead-filled elements (handles, banding and feet). The warming stands have a ring of solder where ventilated panels have been removed.
