Set of Four George III Sterling Silver Salt Cellars

hallmarked London, 1798-1799, by John Wakelin and Robert Garrad, each with a hemispherical bowl with everted rim and raised on an ogee-domed pedestal foot with engraved scroll banding, engraved on the body with a crest of a griffin passant.

  • Condition: Each of the cellars has some bumos on the rim but are in otherwise good shape with no issues other than those expected from age and use: light scuffs and dings, mellow patina, etc. Each piece fully and identically marked on the basal edge; some wear but legible.
